The Marine Animal Rescue Team at the New England Aquarium was able to successfully collect a harp seal that had been causing some concern along the Massachusetts coastline. Although it is normal for a seal to be hauled out for a period of time, this seal had larger patches of alopecia (hair loss) and was becoming much more lethargic. The seal is currently at Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut undergoing rehabilitation.
