Vintage 8mm Quincy Ma., Holiday Parades, late 1950's. Recorded by Quincy resident Dan Marini. Dan was filming his daughter's Linda & Janet (Majorettes) but kept the camera rolling through much of each of the two parades. Unknowingly he captured a true piece of Americana. Dan passed away in 2006 at age 90. 8mm enhanced by nephew Larry Tocci. Click on the times listed below to take you to the exact spot where Linda & Janet appear. Linda is seen coming into view at 00:25 (Majorette to your left). Mrs. Clara Marini along with daughter Janet are visible at 3:11 walking across the street (Sears is in the background), to see Linda following the parade. Janet (cowgirl) is marching briefly at 4:33.
